15,000 wagons on 13,000 metres of tracks - Hamburg’s miniature wonderland is the home of the world’s largest computer-controlled model railway. On a surface that covers about 15,000 sq m trains drive through models of real landscapes. Sections depict, for example, Hamburg, Switzerland, Scandinavia and America at a scale of 1:87. Afterwards a double-decker bus will take you on a sightseeing tour through Hamburg.
A shuttle bus from the Marriott Hotel Hamburg will take you to Hamburg’s Miniaturwunderland in the famous warehouse city [Speicherstadt]. The about two-hour-long tour will show you an extraordinary miniature world.

After lunch that will be served at a Hamburg-typical location, the uppermost floor of an old warehouse, a double-decker bus will whisk you off on a tradition-meets-modern-times tour through the city: the Speicherstadt, Hamburg’s famous warehouse complex, and the adjacent HafenCity, Europe’s largest inner-city construction project. Along the banks of the Elbe you will drive past Landungsbrücken (landing bridges) and the Old Elbtunnel, the Fish Market and Reeperbahn (red-light district). On a walk through the heart of the city you will explore Hamburg’s City Hall [Rathaus], the Alster Arcades and Jungfernstieg while listening to stories of Hamburg’s alleyway quarters and the Great Fire in 1842.
